Inverawe Native Gardens, Margate
What's new at Inverawe this season? Visitors can now book guided tours of the gardens, supplementing our successful self-guided tours. The guided tours, which last about two hours, can be tailored to suit the interests of visitors. Early French explorers Bruni D'Entrecasteaux and Nicolas Baudin were here, Botanists Labillardiere and Robert Brown were here. Come and see some of the plants that astonished them, in a magnificentlandscaped setting. Native plants sit softly on our fragile landscapes. They are sustainable, waterwise, low chemical use and bird attracting. Come and findout how colourful they are, too.On the ground, there's Andrew Murphy's latest sculpture, "The Myth of Trees". Andrew has also refreshed his other pieces, "Endangered Species" - they look better than new! Landscaping has been refined and there are may, many more plants in the ground. Good rain in late winter and early spring has set up the garden for a very colourful season.
