Bruny Island Premium Wines

Located on Wayaree Estate at Lunawanna, Bruny Island Premium Wines is the island’s only vineyard. It is set on 120 acres, including five acres of ten year old vines. The vineyard produces bottles of pinot noir and chardonnay. Their white wine won a bronze medal at the 2007 Hobart International Wine Festival.

Home Hill Winery and Restaurant

In the heart of the Huon Valley near Ranelagh, Home Hill’s vines are the source of wonderful and widely-acclaimed vintages that have won a range of awards and medals in wine shows around the country. Home Hill produces pinot noir, chardonnay, sylvaner, a sparkling cuvée and a late harvest dessert wine. At 43 degrees south with a maritime climate, the vineyard is ideally suited to produce fine cool-climate wines. The restaurant won the 2003 and 2004 Tasmanian Tourism Awards for ‘Best Restaurant.’ Its menu reflects the finest of local produce sourced from only a few paddocks away.

Hartzview Vineyard

Hartzview is located on the scenic link road between Woodbridge and Gardners Bay. The vineyard grows classic cool-climate varieties, specialising in pinot noir. Chardonnay is also grown. All Hartzview grapes are pruned, trained and picked by hand. Hartzview also offers a wide range of fruit wines, ports and liqueurs made from locally harvested produce such as raspberries, blackberries, cherries, and blackcurrants.

The Spiced Apple Liqueur Mead from Tasmanian honey is a luscious Hartzview delight. The property also features self-contained accommodation, café and a chance to step back in time through the Heritage Pickers Hut Village.

Panorama Vineyard wines

Panorama Vineyard

On the eastern bank of the Huon River near Cradoc, Panorama Vineyard produce a selection of elegant wines grown from grapes nurtured to enhance the subtle characteristics of this distinctive wine-making region. Pinot noir, merlot and cabernet sauvignon are the red wines produced from Panorama fruit – the whites are chardonnay and sauvignon blanc. Other wines include a white port, a rosé produced from pinot grapes, and a pear liqueur. Panorama’s pinot noir was selected by Qantas to be served in its first class cabins. Panorama also has their Providore located on the approach into Huonville on the Huon Highway. Here you can also enjoy wine tastings, coffee and woodfired pizzas.

St Imre Vineyard

Located in Dover, St Imre Vineyard is a boutique winery producing pinot noir, chardonnay, gewürztraminer, pinot gris and the more hard to find varieties of ziegerrebe, baco noir and gamay on five acres. The blends are the 'Possum Piss' (white) and the 'Tiger Blood' (red). They make minimal intervention, low preservative, non-wooded, dry wines that reflect the true fruit character of the region on the edge of the grape growing belt.
